Digest of volunteer activities January-February 2023
The beginning of the year in the volunteer activities of our organization was fruitful for events. Here is a report on our achievements in January-February.
2 tons of humanitarian aid were delivered to Sloviansk by the Common Purpose coordinator Vitaliy Karpenko, the Hugs and k41community.fund foundations, entrepreneur Ivan Shevchenko, volunteers Charles Palmer and Dmitry Golubtsov.
An ambulance was purchased as part of the Plastic Saves Lives project. The eco-initiative was to collect and recycle as much HDPE plastic as possible (mainly bottle caps) and use the proceeds to buy a car.
WeCan forum was held in Vilnius on the topic of restoring Ukraine, developing educational and rebuilding Soviet infrastructure. The event was attended by a number of Ukrainian and Lithuanian figures and politicians, including Petro Beshta, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Ukraine to the Republic of Lithuania, Karolis Zemaitis, Vice Minister of Economy and Innovation of the Republic of Lithuania, Oleksiy Kuleba, Deputy Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine, Mindaugas Pakalnis, Chief City Architect of the Vilnius Municipality, and others.
In Odesa, at the B. Litvak Children’s Rehabilitation Center, a charity exhibition and auction was held in February with the participation of the Odesa State Academy of Civil Engineering and Architecture and Odesa artists, the funds from which went to help the military from the Special Forces Battalion of the NPU “Tsunami”.
A number of important devices were delivered to the Armed Forces of Ukraine: several thermal imagers, a couple of generators, several EcoFlow charging stations, several dozen walkie-talkies, individual heating pads and heaters.
Several fundraising campaigns have been completed on our website spilnameta.com:
– for fuel for transportation needs;
– for radios for the medical volunteer battalion “Hospitallers”;
– for a thermal imager for the 6th airmobile company of the 2nd battalion, military unit A2120.
All this was made possible thanks to the continuous participation and assistance of each of us. Let’s keep going, together to victory!
